Coloring the World with Happiness, Hope, Love and Peace

Attention friends, Donors, Supporters and Partners Don’t Get Scammed!!

Posted on September 27th

Unfortunately, there are lots of Scammers, crooks, thieves or just horrible people out there who are pretending to be Rony Delgarde or mentioning they are working for Global Paint for Charity in order to collect paint from businesses or your money in the name of our organization but keep the lion’s share of your donations for themselves, rather than give it to support our humble causes. In lots of cases, some people have collected 1000s gallons of paint in Miami, Tampa, Chicago, Detroit, New-York, New-Jersey, Boston, Connecticut and Atlanta, and charged the donors $3-5/gallon to dispose of their paint. Please understand, this is not the way we do business.

Global Paint for Charity is a very respected organization in the community. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Georgia adding color, hope, happiness and encouragement to people’s lives while keeping paint out of landfills and our water sources and using it as a resource to improve the living conditions of those in need around the world.

The organization was founded in 2010 by Rony Delgarde, a Haitian immigrant who loves colors and beautification all around. He was inspired on his very first day in the U.S. after landing at the Miami International Airport from Haiti. Rony thought it’s a perfect adventure and remarkably beautiful to see a city where all houses, banks, hotels and tall buildings were painted with amazing colors. Later during a goodwill trip in Kenya and Uganda, he realized there was a need to beautify global housing projects-Since then, as many as 500-to-6000 gallons of paint have been shipped at a time to developing countries, including Kenya, Uganda, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Honduras, El Salvador, Guyana, Guinea, Ghana and Mexico. He also sent many shipments of paint to help those affected by the 2010 earthquake that killed over 200,000 people, left 300,000 injured and 1.5 million displaced in Haiti. The paint has been used for housing rehabilitation projects including family homes, hospitals, schools, churches, and orphanages.

And it concerns us that scammers and thieves are taking advantage of our successful works around the world with the intent of financial gain. This is so frustrating! People are so desperate and criminal. Instead of seeking for a permanent job they are trying to do the wrong thing all the time. It is sad those scammers and thieves seek to profit in the name of our charity.

To all of you who have donated your paint and money to these people we are really sorry. We are conducting numerous investigations; hopefully these thieves can be brought to justice.
